Excuse the newbie question, just over 1 week in to Linux Mint 16, and I'm liking it.
After using Windows since 3.0,
Some things are quite different, some similar, some so much better.
The saying "Can't teach an Old Dog, New Tricks",, well this 55 year old dog is trying....
Any way.... (excuse the ramblings...)
I'm running an old Sony Vaio, Intel Atom, 2GB Mem. (more responsive than XP Pro)
I decided, before I did to much installing/config to put a spare(larger) disk in it.
I installed LM16 again, and I'm back to where I was.
I now want to use the original disk I took out for backups etc...
Bearing in mind this still contains my original working install
If I put it in a disk carrier and connect it via USB will it cause an issue.?
Will the running install detect another OS and do something odd.?
I first want to get a couple of files off it, will I encounter "Ownership" issues.?
I plan to use GParted to remove all existing partions,
Then create 2 new ext4 partitions called, \backup1 and \backup2
Many Thanks - Dave
